Our programs are being supported by the audiences & participants, as well as the CRD Arts & Culture Commission, Galiano Parks and Recreation, Canada Council for the Arts, BC Arts Council and the Province of British Columbia, depending on grant results every year.
*Always a good idea to check the calendar on website for more events, last minute additions and/ or updates.
*We strive to be accessible and inclusive by clearly communicating age brackets for our programs while remaining flexible and open to inquiries from anyone interested in participating.
*Our events are always PWYC (Pay What You Can) and NOTAFLOF (No one turned around for lack of funds)
*Yellow Bar is open with special event licence during performance events. No alcohol from outside please.
*We host many amazing community events and we welcome volunteers to help with the door / bar / setup / cleanup / gallery sitting shifts. Please contact us at info@yellowhouseartcentre.ca and let us know which events interests you.
YHACS is a non-profit organization holding a shared community space dedicated to arts and culture on Shxixnetun the unceded and shared ancestral territories of the Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwlitsum, Coast Salish and other Hul’qumi’num and SENCOTEN speaking peoples, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation. We gratefully gather, learn, create and share as intersecting communities.
