Writing workshop 'shaping history'
Based on her own project 'Last One Standing, writer/director Jedidjah Julia Noomen will talk about how to use (personal) history for creative writing. By pinpointing what fascinates you in a story and not being afraid of omitting less relevant details, you'll be able to write something that is worth sharing with others and also reveals your own storytelling voice. We'll do multiple small writing exercises during the workshop, so make sure to think of a subject beforehand. What's that one historical person that has always fascinated you? Which anecdote from your family history is worth exploring in writing? Which local saga deserves more attention? Let's write and explore!
