WALKSCAPES: Wool and Felt-making Workshop

Join our Artist in residency Ana Vojnovic for two workshops

Youth 7+ on Saturday April 12 , 11am - 1pm

Adults on Tuesday April 15, 1pm - 3pm

Experiences with unspun sheep’s wool offer a wide range of creative possibilities for both children and adults. The properties of natural wool appeal to the imagination in a vivid and inspirational manner. Participants will be introduced to forms of wool fibers, process of wet wool felting and its meditative nature.

As we think about the landscape of Galiano Island we will engage in an exploratory process of felting an abstract two-dimensional Galiano Walkscape, and a three-dimensional interpretation of Nesting Barnacles.
