About the event
The Two Magicians and Other Stories | Paintings and prints by Rachael Peters is the very first exhibition hosted at the new arts centre building, the Makery. In these paintings Rachael follows the thread of an old Welsh myth back through her own life and on into the deeper past, exploring some lost connections with nature. Paintings weave together contemporary portraits with animals, birds, dreams and stories.
The opening is on Saturday May 4, 5pm-9pm
The exhibition is up May 4 -19 2024 and the gallery hours are Tuesday - Sunday, 11am - 4pm.
This event is being held on the unceded, shared traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwitslum and other Hul’qumi’num and SENĆOŦEN speaking peoples, Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation, on what is now known as Galiano Island.
