Stockstill & Rose Concert

Join us for a concert at the Yellowhouse Art Centre Outdoor Venue on Sunday August 8, 7pm!

‘Stockstill and Rose’, from Whitehorse, Yukon, are Mike Stockstill on banjo and Amelia Rose Slobogean on fiddle and vocals.

They’ve been playing their self-described “Northern Gypsy Bluegrass” music together for 5 years, but have decades of pickin’, performing and touring under their belts.

While they love the traditional sounds of fiddle and banjo tunes, Mike and Amelia have a shared desire to go outside of the box and venture into uncharted territories. They write a lot of their own material that’s often heavily laced with Eastern European tonalities and have a great time blending these with old time and bluegrass tunes. Always a quality musical experience, Stockstill & Rose ensures a rollicking good time!

This event will be gratefully hosted on the unceded traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwistlum, Hul'qumi'num speaking peoples, Lelum Sar Augh Ta Naogh First Nation / Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano as well as the ceded territories of Tsawassen First Nation.
