Public Art 2024 | Arts with Youth 12+

The second edition of the Public Art Workshops for youth 12+ with local artist Jimena De Miguel. During July and August we will have weekly sessions where we will develop ideas and create a variety of public arts. 

This event is multidiscilinary, is designed for Galiano + guest youth aged 12+ and offerred by donation.

1st meeting is on Friday July 5, 2pm-4pm. We hope to meet same time on Fridays but we want to decide with participating youth.

This event is being held on the unceded, shared traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwitslum and other Hul’qumi’num and SENĆOŦEN speaking peoples, Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation, on what is now known as Galiano Island.
