Pico's puppet palace is coming to the FIESTA at the Lions Hall on August 5th! The drop-in booth will be open between 10-12. Limited materials and by donation. Participants under 6 will need company of a caregiver.
Pico’s Puppet Palace offers a wide variety of workshops for schools, the workplace, or festivals. The bespoke workshops engage creativity and are tailored to fit with curriculum or festival experiences and to meet learning outcomes. The workshops make a great end-of-term activity as they are fun, educational, and memorable. All materials are provided and workshops can range from 1 hour, a half-day, or a full-day experience. Sally and Jesse are experienced with working with a diverse range of people and ages. In the workshops, participants can create their own puppet characters from the ground up using recycled and repurposed materials.
This workshop is being held on the shared and unceded traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwitslum and other Hul’qumi’num speaking peoples as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation, on what is now known as Galiano Island.
We are grateful to BC Arts Council, CRD Arts and Culture and Galiano Parks and Recreation for their generous support.
