About the event
Harmony in Humanity
All Elementary and Secondary Students on Galiano are invited to participate in a Galiano project: the creation of a Peace Poster to display in the Lions Hall on Remembrance Day. The theme of the poster this year is: "Harmony in Humanity: When we treat each other with respect and kindness, peace can flourish.". This theme invites young artists to create art that imagines a world where people of every culture and background live together peacefully — celebrating differences, finding common ground and creating true harmony in humanity.
Those in attendance at the Lions Hall Remembrance Day Service,10:30AM, November 11, will appreciate viewing these as they socialize over refreshments after the service. Attendees can note on an appreciation ballot, the posters that best communicate this year’s theme. Four $25 Galiano Book Store Gift Certificates, donated by the Lions, will be given by age group for those posters.
