About the event
Lorelei Keys' piano repertoire includes a tasteful blend of jazz, blues, swing and contemporary music interlaced with originals and improvised solos.
Lorelei worked as a professional pianist in New York and performed onstage behind such famous R&B singers as The Chords (“Sh-Boom”), Don & Juan (“What’s Your Name”), The Duprees (“You Belong to Me”) and the Orioles (“Crying in the Chapel"). She opened for these acts and more with the all-female girl-group tribute band, “Band of Gold” in which she provided keyboards and vocals.
Since returning to the Pacific Northwest she has attained regional fame for her accordion playing under the name Queen Accordionna while continuing to perform on piano and to provide musical direction and leadership for various music and theater projects.
Pirate Queen Accordionna has provided music for the Tour des Isles since inception, performing on Saturna, Pender and Galiano Islands. See her 2021 virtual performance with Martine Paulin here:
