Art with Youth | Raise The Roof Ornament Making Workshop

As a part of the ongoing Art with Youth Program on Fridays at the Yellowhouse, we are collaborating with Raise the Roof Galiano and hosting a Christmas ornament making workshop on Friday Dec 8, @11am-1pm. Youth 7+ and interested adults are welcome to join and create an ornament to participate in the annual Christmas auction to help raise funds for GALI and GIGARHS affordable housing societies. Materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own special treasures to add to your project. This workshop is by donation and there is limited space.

 The works will decorate the Christmas trees at the Galiano Inn and be available on the online Raise the Roof Christmas auction until Saturday, December 16.

This workshop is being held on the shared and unceded traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwitslum, Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano - Lelum Sar Augh Ta Naogh First Nation and other Hul’qumi’num and SENCOTEN speaking peoples as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation, on what is now known as Galiano Island.
